
Biography:
Oscar Pistorius is a paraplegic South African runner. The people nicknamed him "The blade runner" and "The fastest man with no legs". When he was 11 months old his both legs had to be amputed due to congenital absence of the fibula disease. He played water polo, tennis, rugby and wrestling when he was 13 years old. He was injured while he was playing a rugby match, after that he started to run and he said that he "Will never look back". He started to run like a professional when he was 17 years old, in the 2004 Paralympics in Athens where he won a gold and a bronze medal. Four years before in Beijing Paralympics he won three gold medals breaking 2 world records.

Daniel: Are you going to take part in 2012 Summer Paralympics of London?
Oscar: Yes, I'm going to run in 2012, and I will break my personal record.
Daniel: How many medals have you won in your runner career?
Oscar: I've won eighteen gold medals, a silver medal and two bronze medals.
Daniel: Did you suffer when the doctor amputed your legs?
Oscar: Luckily, I was too young, and I don't remember that moment of my life.
Daniel: Your family supported your paralympic career?
Oscar: Yes, when I travel my mother is always beside me, she is overprotective!
Daniel: What's your sports motto?
Oscar: You're not disabled by the disabilities you have, you are able by the abilities you have.
